I need this, with so many prescriptions out of date or ones not needed anymore. The facility I knew about only took meds at the begining of the month every Sat and Sun, but it was28 miles away as if I was going up to see MooseMom.

I wish they'd do something like this in the UK; we have so many unused/past their expiry date drugs hanging around and I can never seem to get my bum in gear and find out where I can get rid of them.

Poppy, can't you just return any unused meds to your pharmacy for disposal???...

Here, whenever Mum and I have any prescription drugs that aren't needed, I just leave them into the pharmacy when I'm going that way...

Not many of our local pharmacies will do that anymore - not since one of them was shut down and eventually bankrupted after being caught repackaging and selling the returned meds!

Ah!... That might explain it....

I bring mine to the pharmacy, and they dispose of them... I think that two pharmacists have to witness, and sign off on the disposal....
