I sit for the 4 hours and below my knees I constantly get leg twitches. Through the whole 4 hrs, its very annoying. They are NOT cramps, only twitches, but highly annoying.  I never, ever had this problem until my fistula started being used. For the whole duration of the time I had used my central line cath, I never had this problem.          :banghead;

Anyone else get the little annoying leg twitches?       ::)

I have restless leg syndrome bad.  It's bad any time I sit for long periods....at work, during dialysis, at home, whenever.  The only things that help are 1 mg of Requip at night before bed along with 75 mg of Restoril.  I do cheat and take .5 mg of Requip if I'm going out at night and know I need to be somewhere where I have to sit still (restaurant, etc.).  I do not drive if I've taken the Requip.

What's requip and Restoril? Are they a prescription?

I'm guessing mine is Restless leg too.

It almost feels like the muscles are twitching/jumping.

Restoril is a sleeping medication
I would recommend that you notify the charge nurse and have her inform your physician, or better yet, you contact your physician and let him/her know.... it could be somehting that someone here has posted, but on the other hand, it could be something different,... this way the physician can evaluate you and determine cause, if there is one, or if it is nothing to worry about --

Restoril and Requip are both prescription meds.  I started with just the Requip at night but that wasn't enough to allow me to sleep.  I refused Ambien (read too many horror stories) so my neph put me on the Restoril.  Best thing I ever did!  I was so afraid of a sleeping medication, but this is not making me feel groggy in the morning and I am not having the issues that I read about with Ambien.

As far as Ambien, I've read about sleepwalking, sleep eating, and sleep driving!
