I am interested in how long our members have been on dialysis.  When you complete the poll please answer with the longest time  you have been on dialysis at one time.  For example, if  you were on D for 2 years, then transplant, then D for 5 years, please answer with '5'.  Within  your post you can put your answer and include the type of dialysis you have used.  I hope I'm not confusing. :-)

thanks for your participation!

My husband has been on dialysis for 15 years this coming August.  He did PD for almost 3 years, incenter hemo for 6 years and nocturnal home hemo for the past 6 years.  No transplant.

I started Aug 15, 2010. So, will be 2 years coming up this summer.

I'm hoping the stars will be alligned for me to pursue a transplant this coming summer or fall at the latest. That's only IF they can find a match for me in the paired exchange program.

I've been dealing with kidney issues for what seems an eternity.  around 3 years on PD, then transplant #1 (4 years), that failed, then PD again for a year, peritoneal membrane died, then hemo for about 10 months before my mom gave me the 2nd best gift of all (first was giving birth to me), one of her kidneys.
