My dad started in center dialysis. He has a bony butt, so it is sore sitting for 4 hours. I did PD, so I can't help him. Do any of you great, knowledgable people know of what I can buy for him to make it more comfortable?
Thanks!!

A Lot of people make cushions, others but those lawn chair cushions... I bought a memory foam pillow but i dont suggest that, i thought it would work, it did not. I have seen butt pillows for 'sciatica' perhaps that would help?
I have a very crooked spine and an extra large tail bone and it is uncomfortable!!

Going through life tied to a chair!

Egg shell pads help.  I'd get one the whole length of the chair.  JoAnn's Fabrics carries them if you have a JoAnn's.

My father had the same problem --- we got various types of cushions that are used in wheelchairs to prevent bedsores - they can be purchased at any medical supply store. If he goes to his doctor and gets an order to a special cushion (some get pumped with air by hand, others have special insides like springs, or something similar -- ) If the doctor orders, for example, to prevent skin breakdown (bedsores, etc) it might be covered by Medicare/insurance...

Laurie has a bony bum and gets very sore if he has to sit for any length of time , he takes a ordinary cushion and I got him a sheepskin - a small one that you buy for a babies stroller / pushchair . It helps .

Thanks to all for the replies!! My mom bought a Tempurpedic cushion to try. I'll let you know how it works out. If it doesn't, I have all of your suggestions to try.
Thanks so much!!
