finally had the appointment with the nephro after it was cancelled last week and moved to this week. he had an emergency pop up.  later he told me during the appointment that he had to go get a yellow fever shot because he is going to kenya for vacation, so he moved me.  anyways, he looked at the fistula that was created back in 1990 and said there is some stenosis in it.  so yesterday i went and saw the surgeon and the remedial surgery is scheduled friday morning at 6:30 AM!

so here i go on the path to dialysis not knowing where it ends and where the light of a normal life shines.   :beer1;

So sorry TNT that this is happening. People here know exactly how you feel. D is no picnic, but it is not the end of the world either.  Just take it in stride, if possible, and do what you need to do to live.  God Bless you my friend!  Its Crap for sure!

Hope surgery goes well and let us know how it went!

In my prayers,

at this point it is.  i am just milking it for the paycheck and the insurance.  without it i don't even want to imagine how much more difficult all these things would be.

i am back from surgery.  supposedly the fistula is fixed now.  my arm hurts a little bit every now and then.  let's see what happens next.  i will keep on updating.  also, i am a rookie at posting on message boards.  i have never done it.  so i am not sure what the proper etiquette is when it comes to posting.  when is it appropriate to start a new thread, or should you just keep posting in the same thread....i am just throwing darts in the dark.  so if i am posting at the wrong spot or committing an online mistake, please i apologize in advance.  excuse my ignorance.

Ah, Hell, just post away, is my philosophy, LOL!!!  Sorry RM, Karol, and all you other Mods & Admins!
TnT, if you do something wrong, they will correct it and mention it to you, so don't worry! They are an excellent group of people!
