S'mores!  19 grams protein, 0 g. trans fat, 2 grams of sugar, 4% phosphorus (40 mg.) 20 mg. potassium.
This is the best protein bar for the renal diet I've found so far.

Looks really good, if only I could stand the artificial sweeteners. Bleh.  :puke;

so many non natural stuff in those bars.  I'll stick with good quality meats for protein but thanks for the tip

s'mores are made out of graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. Where is the protein coming from?

jadey, the post title. Pure Protein bars, "S'mores" flavor. The protein's coming from whey protein and hydrolyzed collagen, for the most part.  :puke;

oops... I literally thought someone made bars of s'mores and got protein out of it. I was like..wow that's the sweetest thing i've ever heard...CKD isn't so bad after all  :rofl;

protein intake has and still is one of my biggest problems. I tried protein powders.. they are SO nasty :( I just hate that whey smell/taste. It's like rotten eggs. I rather eat meat.

You're right about the artificial sweetners.  The bars don't taste like real candy bars at all.  But the whey protein is good, and these bars are superior to meat because they don't contain all the fat.  I'm actually becoming partial to Greek yogurt mixed with pure egg protein and small curd no-fat cottage cheese, although these have more potassium, phosophorus, and sodium than I'd like.
