Damned Loma Linda and Kaiser finally spoke to each other after I made three phone calls for one appointment., I am supposed to see urologist soon and then we shall see what happens from there.    I am going to start screaming and running in circles at these people.  Tapping toes!

I want to curse a blue streak tonight. I call Loma Linda for an appointment now that they have a referral for a urology appointment, the nearest appointment I can get is in September.  What the F****!  I pitched a fit!  Are they going to keep me in limbo forever? I told the secretary no f* way was I going to wait three months for a referral that can take minutes for the doctor to do! Crazy!

So today I get another call from Loma Linda asking me to call and make an appoinyment because my referral has a limited time on it. So I call them and they say "Oh not until September" again.  I yelled at the lady on the phone, then slammed the phone down, then called my transplant coordinator at Kaiser and cried all over her shoulders and then went for a milkshake and fries at Bakers.  The transplant coordinator said it would be allright and I would be calle dint he next two weeks.  So I am out shopping and Loma Linda call me with an appointment.  Guess what day it is on?
Go ahead Guess....I will wait.....

A friggng Moday afternoon! Are they even thinking?

I think we spend most of our time waiting for doctors, appointments, etc. I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this on top of dialysis and work.

I wait three months to see my Neph. While at dialysis the Neph's office calls to cancell the appointment.
This happened three times.  So each time I call back and have to set up another apointment for almost another
month later.

Several times I call the Neph's office about a problem. They say
you must see your General Practitioner for that."

I go to the Gen Prac and he says "maybe you should dicuss this with your Nephrologist."

Hey do you darn guys communicate with each other????????????????
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

we found the perfect solution to the communications problem- we found a young General DR. whom we just love. Then we asked if he had a Neph who he was personal friends with, and he said yes and gave us a referreal. Now if it needs to be cross-discussed its done easily.  They give each other heads up all the time.

No torture today. Thank goodness. Just along wait to hear no results.  Then left up to me if I want more invasive tests, or do I want to leave it up to the renal transplant team. I left it in their hands. We will see what they say they want done to me in the next few months to get cleared for transplant. *Sigh* More waiting.

I got in touch with the transplant coordinator and she called Loma Linda. I have a new transplant coordinator over there. Like I was notified? She says they will take me back to committee and see what happens. I should be hearing back from her in two to three weeks.  Waiting....waiting...
