If you rely on Medicare and/or Medicaid to pay for dialysis, what is going to happen? I have no idea.

1987 summer (age 9), Renal biopsy confirms kidney disease (Alport Syndrome).
2001 January (age 22), Arterio-venous fistula put in left forearm.
2002 March (age 23), Started in-center hemodialysis (12 years!).
2014 April (age 35), Now training for self home hemodialysis with NxStage.

I am pretty sure that you will have your dialysis, even the default does happen. Those political animals will not do anything until the last minutes.

Still worried about this. I have had my TV on C-SPAN and C-SPAN2 all week. This is insanity.

I'm not going to worry until it happens, cause that's just the way I am. When it does I plan to talk to social worker and work with her.

May 13, 2009, went to urgent care with shortness of breath
May 19, 2009, went to doctor for severe nausea
May 20, 2009, admited to hospital for kidney failure
May 20, 2009, started dialysis with a groin cath
May 25, 2009, permacath was placed
august 24, 2009, was suppose to have access placement but instead was admited to hospital for low potassium
august 25, 2009, access placement
January 16, 2010 thrombectomy was done on access
