Irregular heartbeat, night cramps...

So, may I complain for a bit? I am scheduled for a transplant in Seattle (I live in Alaska) in August. I have been passing all of the requirements, but of late I am having irregular heartbeats. I made an appointment with the local heart clinic, but the earliest I can get in is June 29th! Meanwhile, my foot and leg cramps are getting so bad it's hard to sleep. I kept getting up last night and trying to walk them out, but as soon as I relax they came back. I am of course concerned about this, and need to figure it out not only for life to go on, but I don't know about going for the big transplant if these issues are going on. Any idea what this could be? I am waiting for some labs to see if it's minerals. I don't think it's because I am "dry"..... only using 1.5 PD solution. Sigh..... always something, huh?
Blessings all
Heather

Im no expert, but it sounds like RLS. Did your sleep patterns get better, Heather? I know you were having problems in the past with that!

Note that she is doing PD, so it is very unlikely with high potassium. PD is very effective to remove potassium. After I started PD dialysis, leg cramps were less a problem. If a patient is too "dry", then the BP would be very low, too?

I get these symptoms too and I have high potassium. Whether your potassium is high or low, the symptoms are pretty much the same. I'd have it looked at, just to be safe.
