Atlas of dialysis vascular access available for staff education

1/3/2011

The Fistula First Breakthrough Initiative announced that the The Atlas of Dialysis Vascular Access is available on its website.

The Atlas, developed by Tushar Vachharajani, MD, FACP, FASN, of the Dialysis Access Group of Wake Forest University School of Medicine, highlights the basic anatomy of the most frequently used vascular access sites and identifies associated problems.

Atlas is a photo-based teaching guide for all individuals involved in the use, management and preservation of vascular access. The Atlas, reviewed and endorsed by the FFBI Clinical Practice workgroup, contains images collected from patients who have endured the problems and have consented to be photographed.

To view the Atlas of Dialysis Vascular Access visit the FFBI website at www.fistulafirst.org  under "What’s New."
