I pretty much eat anything and find moderation is the key, a little of this and a little of that with my phoslo. Lab tests have been good. :popcorn;
i can eat what i like too i have been off caltrate from the 3rd week of dialysis my potassium and phos are sometimes below the normal limit but then i do 7 hours every second day :ausflag;

I'm the caregiver, but in stressing times (which I seem to be having a lot of lately) I want mashed potatoes (comfort food). ;D

Free time!  All mine is being sucked away this month.  Right now though, I mostly seem to be craving fudge.  I made half a dozen pans at Christmas, and managed to get it all out of the house except for one lone piece.  Apparently, that wasn't enough.  I want more!!!!  I still have all the ingredients, but I'm going to have to pass on most of it to a friend, or I'll eat the whole 2 pound batch myself.

Lately I've been craving sweets. I NEVER crave sweets - EVER!!
I don't know if it's because I've been using Extaneal, which doesn't have the dextrose in it and maybe my body is so used to having all the sweetness in my blood and saliva that I notice when it's not there? (By the way, the extraneal doesn't seem to work for me - in fact I think I may have an allergy to it as I wheeze by the time bed rolls around).
Anyway, I've been buying marshmallow peanuts, jujubes, sponge toffee, and licorice. Not bad, except it's all just crap!!

Since I got my transplant and have not had the PD fluid in me all day, I'm finding this to be the case, as well. Lots of people are bringing us dinners, and most bring dessert with it, so we've had cookies, brownies, pies, and other sweets around. Apparently the PD fluid had more calories than I thought, though, because I'm still managing to lose a little weight!

Definitely GOOD Pizza, not Domino's or Pizza Hut, I mean Chicago or New York Style.  I grew up in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pa, plenty of Italians and plenty of greeaatt Pizza.  Also good Mexican food.

8 hours of uninterrupted sleep without sleeping pills and a real shower. (I still have a perma-cath.)

I crave water, and that feeling when you work out and you can feel yourself getting stronger. I work out, but I can't gain any strength or much conditioning.  I just maintain.

I am not on dialysis yet, but I have already been cut off of the phos./ potassium foods, so I want a HUGE hot fudge sundae, with a ton of real whipped cream. I also greatly missed eating melons this past summer.

I just will not give up melons - watermelon is so good and I can get it year round now -- I eat less but I can not give it up -
I will go to a buffet because the watermelon is good there and I will leave it watermelon is not on the menu for that day

Unfortunately Twirl, I cannot eat things that I dearly love in moderation, especially any type of melon. It is easier for me to just not eat it at all...kind of "out of sight, out of mind."  I must admit that I over endulged in tomatoes this year. I didn't know about the tomatoes being bad, until half the summer was over...oops! Luckily, my labs showed no ill effects from it, but I am much more cautious now.
