I am finding your comments very helpful Tyefly. I'm expecting to take up full membership shortly, so I like to know what I shall be in for.

Well you certainly make me feel better about D.  I am going Monday
to get a 2nd opinion from another neph.  I may be joining you soon.
Glad all went well for you.

Glad you were ready for it.  I hope that you settle in to a routine and are able to start training on home hemo.  (It took me 10 months in center to get to start on NxStage - but the time went fast in retrospect!)

If you have a chance (or the inclination) while it is still fresh in your mind, can you add your story here to the First Day of Dialysis thread?  (it has been dormant for a while and it is a great thread w/ advice for newbies)

Just a Update      and Thx for all the great support......   our family here is the best......
I went trucking for over night  up to Seattle and back...was fun to get out of town.... ( such a short trip)

but anyway..my second day of dialysis yesterday was not good.... they used the same holes and one wouldnt work and so they move to another site  up the arm... and it blew up.....  Kind of   inflitrated.....  was a a big round yucky.... and so they could not dialysis me  and sent me home with a ice pack.... and a painfull arm....they told me  that Its just because my fistula is very young...baby fistula.....  so Iam going back on saturday to try it again... I am hoping that everything goes welll.....  The first stick on my first dialysis went so well..... and then my second....well    not so good....
