« on: August 05, 2009, 11:59:49 AM »

Following my visit to renal , my high potassium the other day etc etc , they decided i should switch back to manuals (6 times a day) and see if things improve. Also they decided to send the nurse out this morning to do my bloods again. Anyway nurse turns up and trys and trys and trys to find a vein to do my bloods , finally she hits one but ..she only gets a tiny bit out before it gives up ! So she says, well i will just make sure we get the potassium from that , because thats the really important one right now and i will mark it urgent. So ring this afternoon for results. Guess what ..that tiny bit of blood has been tested for everything EXCEPT my potassium  ( the labs said they didnt have enough blood off me !) So now feeling worse than lousy as you can imagine , i have to drag myself to the hospital on friday (no they couldnt fit me in tommorrow) to have more bloods done. Considering just how serious high potassium is no one is in any rush to get things done !

Please go find a mirror to look in -- the three-way kind so you can see your back. I think you're wearing a kick-me sign!  :grouphug;
