I guess I lost my chair in my center.  The last time I complained about not having a T. V. not working They gave me the one that is not adjustable. Now, the manager doesn't even notice me.  I really think it's the Tech' doing on who puts who where. If you complain or the tech is un happy than you get moved.  I feel, today is that I'm given the  :sir ken; of the deal.  I am always moved back when a new visitor arrives and they take my chair. I promide not to complain today. will see I'm respected and get a decent chair.   :thx; Rivy

From my experience last Friday, complaining helps as long as you don't do it very often.  Sure gets lots of attention anyway

I have found you have to pick your battles....

I was always told the squeaky wheel gets the oil...but compaining too much you might be considered a "problem", but then again if you don't stand up for yourself you seem to be forgotten. Guess there is a fine line...just depends on your unit and the staff running it.

I don't think I ever set in the same chair twice at my first center.  It depended on which machine they have working, and how many visitors they had.  I just never expected to be in the same one.  We only have 3 chairs at my new little center.  I even get switched around there sometimes.  I'm the second one in the door, and if my machine has a problem, they switch me to the next one over because the other woman doesn't start until half an hour after I do, so they have time to switch out a problem machine at my usual station and restart it before she gets there.  If they kept me in my usual chair, it would mean starting me half an hour later than normal.

Have you asked them why they switch it around?  My old center was apt to switch out mine before anyone else's because they knew I didn't really care where I was.  Some of the older patients got really upset.  Maybe they switch yours around because you don't complain and they don't know it matters to you?

I complain in writing. They have a rule, they have to get back to you about the complaint within 48 hours if it is in writing. I complained about no sensitive skin tape three weeks ago in writing, and was phone called the next day. still no solution. Time to write again!

I used to throw that saying around, too  "Squeaky wheel gets the oil" until one day I was told "Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets replaced".    Made sense.   8)

I agee you should pick your battles.  But please don't let them push you around.  You don't deserve that.   Stay strong.

I have found that complaining in my online blog does wonders!  Judging by the response, I believe corporate and/or staff are reading my complaints and are taking what I say into consideration, hehehe. It's too bad it has to come down to me blogging about things, though-- because I do always bring them up in person first.

They can replace my squeaky wheel, but hey, I still have 3 more of them. moohaha!
