Skins will not leach as well as flesh.  You'd need to soak the peel to the point it practically disintegrated.  If I remember correctly a medium potato has about 900 mg of potassium with the skin and it goes down to about 500 mg without the skin.  Ditch those skins.  :2thumbsup;

Surprise surprise as Gomer Pyle used to say.  Word travels fast when food is about.  Today it was barbecued tri-tip, extra barbecue sauce, and a big tray of boston baked beans at 10AM.  We're shooting the sequel to "Blazing Saddles" here this afternoon and we've all been invited to participate.  About 1PM we'll all sit in a circle and simulate the campfire scene.  There will be no fire but plenty of pookie as Zach would say.  Don't come here today but if you do cover your nose or have a cold.

That's good info about the skins. I always peel them anyway, because I'm usually making mashed potatoes or potato soup. Thank you so much.

Yummy...that all sounds delicious too, Angela. I LOVE grilled salmon.

We had grilled venison steaks, baked potatoes, fresh green beans and garlic bread. Tasted especially good because hubby did all of the cooking!  :clap;
