Dialysate flow (Qd)=600;  Blood pump speed(Qb)=315
Fresenius Optiflux-180 filter--without reuse
Fresenius 2008T dialysis machine
My KDOQI Nutrition (+/ -):  2,450 Calories, 84 grams Protein/day.

I always knew it:  PEEPS RULE! :2thumbsup;

My daughter used to like them after they'd spent a few days in the refrigerator!  When she was studying in France, I got 2 packs after Easter at half price and mailed them to her ($1 for Peeps, about $8 postage!)  She said that was the only thing I ever sent her that she didn't share with her host family; said she sat in her room with the door closed and ate them all in one sitting.  She said she subsequently felt quite unwell, but didn't regret it one bit!

She's vegan now (doesn't eat meat, fish, dairy products, or use anything made with those things), and says that lf all the things she gave up eating, the only one she still really misses is - you guessed it - Peeps!

Really?

Wednesday nihgt, I made the jerk pork tenderloin from the Kidney Friendly Comfort Foods cookbook, with a side of corn (butter and black pepper), threw together a salad from celery, green pepper and some shredded carrot. Dressed it with your basic Dijon vinaigrette.

Tonight, I'm making an Indian-style chicken dish with white rice.

Funny isn't it that all peeps are the same but people swear that one color is better tasting than another. ;D

Taste comes from input of visual information from the brain as well as other sensory input when applicable.  Can't you just hear how good those fajitas taste.  It is a wonder and fascinating how the brain works.

I'm diabetic so I think they taste great.  Even though they're sugar free, they still have sugar-like crystals on the outside.

Roast, Mashed Potatoes w/ Gravy, Whole Kernal Corn, Deviled Egg, Cranberry Sauce and Salad.

I'm trying to lose weight and get into shape... and obviously the only true way to do that is too make sure your calorie intake isn't more than what it should be... to be able to lose 1lb a week the healthy way, I have to eat 1200 calories + whatever amount of calories I exercise off.... let me just say, I have not even come close to mastering this... 1200 a day... I can do that in 1 meal and still be hungry. LOL

I hear you there, Angela. Best I can do is between 1300 - 1400 calories (should be 1200 to lose). Even at that, I was starved the first week I started keeping track.

Didn't do as well this weekend, but I didn't stuff myself either (too much Easter candy around!)

Went to a friends house today and had ham and potatoes with yellow peppers and mushrooms. It was really good. I'm gonna have to watch my eating before I bust.  :D

I had a small amount of Honey Baked ham, with brocolli casserole, a little potato salad (I don't have to closely watch potassium), greenbeans, corn, rolls and pineapple pudding w/ nilla wafers.

My nut told me last week that ham is the worst meat to eat.   >:D

Yes, it was without beans.  A variation on George Jung's recipe.

Last night we had homemade Indian - authentic Indian made by my very white husband who was taught by a Sikh friend and his aunts! Man it was good!!
Chana dal, tofu tikka masala, basmati rice with peas....yummy! Then we had Indian spice tea for desert! I think tomorrow hubby is making pizza with goat cheese, pesto, red onions, peppers - he's the best!! I do cook too but it's so much better when someone else does!
