I am making Green Chili Stew like at Pancho's
it is all I want to eat when we go there -
besides the rice, beans, pepper thing fried in eggs and the outside of the tamales

Do you mean a Chili Reano?

Crawford hasn't been to panchos in 40 years.  I didn't know there were any still around.  Crawford likes Pico's Mex Mex.

No, its not like a Jallapeno but it is a pepper... better, bigger and not very hot.  Right Mandy?  Usually stuff with something good.  Poblano Peppers, right Mandy?

crawford --- Pancho's are still around -- I remember when Pancho's came to Bellaire -- it was so much fun to raise the flag

Yes indeed Dan!

I personally like to use the New Mexico Big Jim that is the first picture
But traditionally you use a Poblano pepper that is the second picture

darn, MandaMe - we went to New Mexico spring break a few years ago and there was snow and we loved it  --- the Mexican food was different and not like Tex Mex -- which is what we are used too -

That is what they call here a jalepeno "popper" (not pepper).  They are so good, (but not very good for you).   :clap;

I have a really good batter if you want it Twirl.  Yeah that is  how we make them too.

Here we have a lot of New Mexican food. Its a tad bit diffrent then Mexican food.  We don't cook as much with moles and stuff of that nature.  And things tend to be a little spicier here. We use more peppers.

Poppers are jalepenos and bite sized. Reanos (sp) are bigger...you actually need a fork to eat them...and they are milder.....both types are OH SO yummy!!!!

Was it in Roswell? I can't think of an alien museum outside of Roswell. But yes if you make it down here to New Mexico again. You have to come on by so I can cook for ya!

And yes Wenchie both are so yummy!  David it is a lot like a jalepeno popper. Good stuff!
