Dinner was my recipe for Cat Food and Green beans.  Wait a minute, do not gross out yet. My kids called it that because it smelled like cat food the first time I served it and the cats liked it.

Cat Food- for human consumption
Cooked rice,
tuna,
cheese

Mix together while the rice is hot.  Serve.

I told you all already I only cook easy recipes and only when I have to.

Yum, cat food sounds good, Kat!

Last night was a meat sauce (93% lean ground beef, chopped onions, canned mushrooms, with a little bit of spaghetti sauce) over rice.

think it's going to be a sloppy joe, orange, little light yogurt.
at least that sounds good right now.
only added 1/2 the sauce, like the flavor but not real sloppy.

Venison teriyaki stir fry with sugar snap peas, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, served over rice.

Dessert is a strawberry ice cream bomb - I scooped vanilla ice cream into a big bowl, and made a hollow in the center and refroze it.  Then I pureed strawberries and more ice cream and put that in the hollow in the center.  When it all freezes solid again, flip it over and take the bowl off.  Then cover in melted chocolate and freeze again.  I saw it on Take Home Chef and couldn't resist trying it!

yummmmm, that whole meal sounds soooooooo good.
Dessert sounds delicious and easy.
Do you ever watch Rachel Ray on tv? She always does easy to fix things.
At least it looks that way when she fixes them.
Also get a magazine from Kraft that has easy dishes.
Cook very little these days tho.

The venison and the ice cream sound really good! 

Tonight is lasagne, but I diluted the tomato sauce and used less of it than normal, so hopefully that will help the potassium.

Ohio Buckeye, we must be from the same area. First you talked about Donato's and now Der Dutchman! Isn't their food incredible? Do you go to the one around Plain City?  Mmmmm, makes me hungry.  Love their pies.   :2thumbsup;   Next you will be talking about White Castle's!!  (Not the frozen ones --the real ones hot off the grill!)   We don't get "sliders" down here!

Yes, the Der Dutchman at Plain City, tho I have been to
the one up north also.  They are wonderful.  Don't know
what they do to make their food so good. Probably add all the
stuff one shouldn't have.  I love browing in gift shop and sitting by the fire in winter
while waiting for table. Donato's - I have some leftover in fridge
that my son brought over.  White Castle - I like the little fish sandwiches
but that's all I care for there. Don't know if they still even have them.
Never find myself craving sliders.  My husband loved them.  Could eat
a lot at a time. I figured they were everywhere.
I'm going to try to get you a Donato's mousepad.  McDonald's had bought
them out but it did not work so they are separate businesses again.
We were one of Donato's best customers when Grote opened his first little
shop years ago.
At work the company was buying us a lunch one day and we had a list to
choose from. Der D. was on the list.  A sub shop was chosen and I could
not believe anyone would choose a sub over DD but it was voted in.  :(
must be people who have never had a good meal from DD.

Oh you are killing me :P Now I want that but with all the Phosphate in it and the fluid count .. oh and that chocolate .. oh to have that again :P

I know, I know.  But I made the bomb in a very small bowl, so it was mini servings only.  It ended up being about a scoop of ice cream for each of us, so at least I was good that way.  I even dished up my stir fry with a slotted spoon so I could leave out most of the sauce.  I'm not fluid restricted yet, but the sodium in store bought teriyaki sauce- yikes!  I need to look for a low salt version for the next batch.

Im lucky if I cook a meal once a week. Not feeling much like dinner lately. Usually I just have some toast or fruit and yoghurt, or nothing. Now that Im on incentre Dx for a bit Im too scared to eat much, and its just typical as I have an abundance of non renal friendly foods in the fridge...avocado, banana, tomato. Just picked my first lot of tomatoes off the plants Im growing. Most of the big ones had grubs, made me sooo mad!!! Ive doused them extra good in tomato dust so I hope I can at least get some big ones without little pests in them.

Ohio Buckeye, We were so excited because we were told by people in Columbus that Donato's would be coming down this way, then the whole McDonalds thing happened, and no Donatos for us :(   We have been known to eat pizza as soon as we get in Columbus before we even see family! And  stopped after my nephew's lavish, sit down dinner wedding reception--always room for Donatos!!  Of course, not so much anymore, but there is nothing their pizza. After Columbus, we lived in StLouis for years - they also have White Castle, so we were disappointed to move South and not find any.  Do you ever shop at Penny's outlet?  Another must do when I am in town!!     And who would order subs when you could have DD???   Nice hearing from my home area :)

I wish all the fast food chains would piss off personally. Then the temptation wouldnt be there. Plus its all rubbish anyway and a rip off. Thankfully one of the ones nearby has closed down. Thats one down, many more to go lol

Tonight, we feast ;)  It is my nephew's 22nd birthday but we will be celebrating his 21st as well, long story, lol,  but anyways, my sister is having it catered by a Mexican Restaruant and we will be having, Chile Verde, Chile Colorado, rice, beans, tortillas, chips and salsa and for appetizers they have mini chimichangas, flautas, quesadillas with guacamole, and about 1,000 binders ;)  (the binders are ALL for me) aint i the lucky one  :-\

I could eat Mexican food everyday of my life, it is my favorite food and I love it! Speaking of which I am have 2 Shredded Beef Tacos, with rice and beans from a place called "PePes" It's not no "TiTo's but it will do for tonight.  ;)

tonight i will be having a salad at the salad bar, i got sick last night and dont think i can eat anything solid or heavy, i  just hope whatever hit me last night has gone and will let me digest at least a salad  tonight :-\
