Dinner? What is dinner?  Nothing is what I had for dinner tonight.  Lunch was 2 Vicodin (for the sore jaw where teeth were pulled Wednesday), a hamburger, fries and coleslaw at Peggy Sue's Diner on the road from Vegas. The a binder! Yummy.  Not really hungry now.

OMG do any of you know what fruit and vegetables are? LOL
LOL. . . .I do know, all too well, what those are.  I am sick as can be with the low everything diet.  I would love, love, love a good corned beef sammie.

What is a corned beef sammie?

I assume it's a "sandwhich" but that is just a guess.

Sammie is a sandwich.

My brother made dinner for us last night, he made Seafood Lasagna.  It was delicious, it had cream sauce and a lot of cheese, and shrimp and scallops.  But the whole time I was eating it I kept thinking that I probably couldn't eat it if I was on dialysis, because it had so much cheese and cream in it.

Sometimes I think I should try to eat better and get used to a renal diet, but sometimes I think I should eat all the bad stuff while I still can.  No wonder I'm having trouble losing weight, I justify everything I eat by thinking that someday I might not be able to eat it.  I have to do better!

Mallory.  I would eat the Seafood Lasagna but I would take my binders and only have a small portion.  I would also avoid high P04 for a few meals afterwards.  You don't have to deprive yourself of everything, you just need to "avoid" them.  But, enjoy yourself now.

I like corn too.  In fact, I like just about any vegetable except squash and egg plant.  Are they vegetables?

I had a nice hot bowl of chicken noodle soup with cooked carrots and celery.  Man, that was tasty.

Do you guys ever eat a baked potato?  I've had only 1 in 14 months and I miss them so.

Mmmmm, I love baked potatoes.  I like them with all kinds of stuff on them, cheese, chopped celery, fresh peas, chopped tomatoes, olives and tons of sour cream.  That can't be good for you, but I sure love 'em!

All the time with lots of butter, also I eat french fries, and Potatoes Au Gratin. Enjoy all type of food, just in moderation.  :thumbup;

Tonight's dinner is chicken adobo (Filipino not Spanish, I think there's a difference) and rice.  I worked a 12'er today so I'm too tired to mess with veggies.  :lol;

Last night I ate at O'Charleys with a friend and had a nice big cheeseburger
and a few fries, water/lemon. was sooooooo good.
Since my hand is broken, if I am out eating I usually order a sandwich or chicken
strips that is easier to eat with left hand. can't cut meat up now.  Eating spaghetti,
salad, etc. can get pretty sloppy and embarassing to eat in a restaurant when I
have to use left hand.   hopefully in about 2 wks. will be able to eat a "real meal" out.
anxiously waiting.......................
