What did you have?  We can help each other stick closer to the renal diet (if that is your goal) or just get new and fresh ideas for meals.

We had grilled steak (with salt-free seasoning), egg noodles with a dab of Smart Balance for a "sauce," a few boiled shrimp, steamed (formerly frozen) broccoli, canned green beans (salt-free variety).  Maybe a fruit cup for dessert.

I don't think that's too far away from the renal diet.  Maybe should have chosen either broccoli or green beans, not both.

Supper tonight--chicken breast pan fried in small amount of olive oil, steamed cauliflower with light parkay for seasoning, lettuce salad with light raspberry vinaigrette and an apple for dessert.

Hubby made shells with ham in them. I threw some cheese on it and ate it.  Not bad.

I don't know if what I eat is right .. but my Phosphate has been good for 2 months so at least I am eating right for about a week before bloodwork lol  :clap;

I like chicken and turkey pitas and aslo like to eat yolk-free noodles with tuna (in water is not as bad as in oil) with mayo (yes I know mayo is made with whole egg .. that is what the phosphate binders are for ;)).

I also eat a lot of sandwiches (white bread only though).

And lots of rice and corn!

My diet is pretty boring .. but once in awhile (when it is NOT near bloodwork day) I will be bad and have McD's fish or chicken or I will have Pizza Hut pizza (only 2 slices) with my binders as long as I have someone to share the rest of the pizza with (or I may eat too much of it  :-[).

Tonight I made

breaded, baked catfish nuggets
rice
canned green beans and mushrooms
frozen baby vegetable medley
kool-aid (my favorite part LOL)

Not bad, although really should not have used store breadcrumbs, because they have salt and other no-no things in them.  I really didn't have the time or inclination to make my own though.   ;)

I had Bowtie Noodles with hamburger and a "tiny" bit of Prego mixed in.  Just enough to make it orange.  Coleslaw, garlic bread.  Graham Crackers with Spun Honey on them for dessert. And of course my binders.

Is spun honey like whipped honey?

Yes, believe it or not I'm "supposed" to gain weight.  They want me to add calories to my diet.  I've never in my life been told that!  But, spun honey is:

1 cup honey
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

All blended together.  Either room temperature or refrigerated.  Not recommended for diabetics!!   ;)

mmmm Armenian Barbecue tonight from Sam's Flaming Grill...rotisserie chicken plate, rotisserie beef plate, and falafel plate with rice, yogurt, salad, and a barbecued tomato...I know that is a dirty word but it was great! Lunch was Amagi Japanese restaurant...lunch combo beef and tempura with salad bar, miso soup, and rice.  I was just wondering if I should get into the Bunny Tracks but think I'll hold off!

Beef enchiladas, beans and rice.  I took binder with it.  Yummy at El Kiosco Mexican Restaurant in Rialto.
I know, I know.  A trillion wet noodles to the head for eating this way!

Good choice Zach, cow has to be one of my favourite animals. I'm a big fan of sirloin.

I'm having sweet and sour chicken with noodles, pineapple and peppers.
