I remember once at a summer festival some one was selling half watermelons witht he seeds scooped out and icecream in the scooped out bit. Man, that would be my whole day gone in one fell swoop - but might be just worth it lol!

I want to go out in the field and find my own personal watermelon!
Well I'll be damned there it is now!

I do love watermelon too... At one of the grocery stores here they will sell a few slices of it wrapped up. I buy that instead of the whole or 1/2 melon.
Tonight we had Bratwurst and pasta salad. Too hot to cook something elaborate.

that little tiny seedless is perfect (four normal serving or two serving for me) and it is so tasty. Randall has them on sale this weekend (houston people)

I took the last two slices of watermelon I had in the fridge and weighed them after cutting off the rinds. Yikes! Two small slices, about an inch thick and the size of my palm weigh as much as a full cup of water. If you are aiming for a liter a day, those two little pieces are about a 1/4 of your daily fluid limit.

Tonight we are having ribs, corn on the cob & baked beans. My labs are great so I just have to make sure I don't overdo on certain foods & to take my binder (Tums)

We are still under appetitie here, so tonight was frozen chicken and corn on the cob. However, I did make salsa the other night, first time, and it's pretty darned good. Unfortunately, I want to eat it all the time. The chips are the killer tho.

Today it was too hot and we were too lazy to cook, so we went out for dinner to Acapulco. We all had different incarnations of chicken - mine was chicken fajitas, with sauteed vegetables instead of beans. Yummy stuff, and I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

People in my family always got to order the meal on their birthdays. One of mine was fried okra, fresh garden peas and garden tomatoes sliced....(oh course with cornbread)
the other two were 1. chicken salad sandwiches and 2. saurkraut and mashed potatoes.

I'm fixing stuff flounder, fried potatoes and string beans. Today is my son's birthday so yesterday his girlfriend and I made oatmeal cookies and mint chocolate chip cookies for him instead of a cake. Len's birthday is Friday and I am taking him out for a seafood pigout on Wednesday because it is suppose to be the nicest day this week. Hard crabs, shrimp, clams, crab legs and beer. Doesn't get any better then that.

I had rotissirie chicken and tortillas.. no cooking for me.. way too hot!
Stuffed flounder sounds yummy! And crab and shrimp.. mmmmm.. double yummy.. We used to go to a restaurant that served this big metal tub filled with lobster, alaskan king crab, shrimp, potatoes, and corn.. it was delicious and so much fun to eat! Add beer to that and it was heaven!

I used to love their Chicken Dumplings. Couldn't wait to go down to Baytown or Mt. Beliview to work cause they always brought in Cracker Barrel stuff.

I have heard nothing but good things about them too. I couldn't belive what I was eating. I may never go back there again. The greens were good as always. I should have stuck with the grilled trout.
I just thought I would do something diffrent this time.
