Simular to America's Most Wanted, there should be a show for people looking for organs.  Every week they would profile 3-5 people and give the specifics of what they need, who you can contact if you are interested in testing, etc.  That would be cool.

I never heard or thought of that idea, Kelly!!!   That would be AWESOME!!!  Also, speaking of getting the "word" out there of needing a kidney.......this girl that I go to dialysis with for her first transplant, her sister made a plea on TV for her needing a kidney and she did get a donor!

Diagnosed with ESRD-November 2006
I have had 2 fistuals-neither one worked
I have had 2 grafts the last one finally "took"
I had 3 different catheters from Nov. 06 - Dec. 08
Got on the transplant list - Halloween Day 2008

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.    I BELIEVE THIS TO BE SOOOOO TRUE!

Sorry, but not all of us hate dialysis.
And what is right for Natalie Cole, is right for Natalie Cole.

I agree with you Zach, but I think what people are most objecting to is her complete nonchalance to the issue, it sounds as though people believe she has a lack of understanding of the seriousness of the issue. To dismiss it so easily, so publicly, makes the plight of many of us seem unimportant. We already struggle with the lack of understanding that many people have towards our disease/s and how it affects our lives.

At least, that's the impression I get from what people are saying here.

"I bet if all those people got tested and they said - You don't match Natalie Cole but you do match Jane Doe who desperately needs a kidney. None of them would donate to Jane Doe".
I agree with this comment Brightsky69  - I don't see Jane Doe being invited on prime time TV and inundated with offers.

You know it Kittylee. I am reminded of a line from 'There Will Be Blood'

There are times when I look at people and I see nothing worth liking. I want to earn enough money that I can get away from everyone.
