So I gathered from Angie's list that salmon and cod are both high in potassium. What alternative fish would be good to serve regularly?
fish sticks with lemon here, thank you very much and thats about it
I didnt think anyone ate catfish? I think ill stick to the tuna, salmon, snapper, or perch!
Almost none of the fish we eat regularly in the Caribbean are on that list. Do you guys know about Tilapia? Flying Fish? Mahi mahi? Albacore? Shark? Jacks?
MMMMMM fried catfish right out of the Lake Nickajack, with hushpuppies and coleslaw. Yummy. When I lived in the south as a teenager we would drive around and see the sights and go fishing along the lake. Then we would stop as this little hole int he wall restaurant. It has about ten seats in it total and order up the catfish plate. Oh Geez what an amount of food to eat. I miss fried catfish and hushpuppies made the southern way.
Popeyes is not the same. We have Popeyes too, and Long John Silvers, but it is just not the same. A real southern cook can make catfish sing!

The jack that we have is a relatively small fish. It isn't a tuna. They are only about 6 inches long and they taste great!
