I hope they can do something tomorrow other than run more test so you feel comfortable.

Good Luck tomorrow Tinah,

I think mine started prematurely, I'm falling apart already.

In this case though I would hope it's medical and not age. Medical has more of a chance of being dealt with than age. ;D

Tinah the medicine im on for leg cramps is Hectorol, .5mcg

It has truly helped me.  :bow;
Paul.karen,  I take Hectoral for my PTH levels.  It helps regulate the calcium that can be leached from your bones.   Does it help you with bone pain or leg cramps?   I still have leg cramps all the time, but usually due to hydratiion.  Just wondering and always learning.   :thumbup;

Hectorol Oral Uses
This medication is used to treat people with serious kidney disease who have high levels of a certain natural substance (parathyroid hormone-PTH), which your body normally makes. High PTH levels affect the balance of other minerals in your body (calcium and phosphorus) and may result in weak bones. Doxercalciferol is a man-made form of vitamin D. It works by decreasing PTH levels and increasing calcium/phosphorus levels in the body

Tinah, Keep coming here on the bad days.  We really do understand and it is a safe place to vent.   :cuddle;

I told my Neph i was cramping real bad.  But it felt like the cramps were in my shins and toes.  He gave me this and it has been so much better.  So Paris im not sure if it was due to bone pain or cramping??  I have never had bone pain.  I have had muscle spasms and and leg cramps in the past.  If this was bone pain(can bones hurt) it is the WORST pain i have experienced as of yet.
This is why i always add to check with you doctor.  Many medicines have dual purposes.
Im just glad i dont have the pain i was having.

Update.... Hey everyone, I went to the Dr. and come to find out I had a UTI.. Not good but, I got some antibiotics and I had to re-do the bloodwork which I won't know my creatnin levels until next week, he also Prescribed a Pain killer for the pains in my right side (Like I don't have enough of those since I refuse to take them)... But, they are good to have on the weekends not weekdays when I work.  He said depending on my bloodwork that he would have to decide if it is time for Dialysis. I have my fistula in place but, I am not sure I am mentally ready... But, better to live then the other option... Just wanted to update you and thatnks for the well wishes..  I told him about the cramps and he said that he was going to check my PTH levels. So I hope that comes back soon too...

That's good Tinah, hope that clears  up soon and you'll be pain free. When I get my PTH checked, it usually takes 3 days before I can get results, but that can be due to where the lab is. I'm not sure if cultures needed to be used for this test, I never asked about this one yet. I know I will have to have it tested again this month.
