Diagnosed type 1 diabetic at age 6, CKD (stage 3) diagnosed at 28 after hospital error a year before, started dialysis February '09. Listed for kidney/pancreas transplant at Ohio State & Univ. of Cincinnati.

Thanks drinkboy...I'm not sure what normal is anymore   :rofl;  I choke everytime I lay down so I've been sitting up...I'm going to try the recliner in a few minutes..I will be glad when "this" is gone.  Thanks paddbear as well as anyone else.

Lost vision due to retinopathy 12/2005, 30 Laser Surg 2006
ESRD diagnosed 12/2006
03/2007 Fantastic Eye Surgeon in ND got my sight back and implanted lenses in both eyes, great distance & low reading.
Gortex 4/07.  Started dialysis in ND 5/4/2007
Gortex clotted off Thanksgiving Week of 2007, was unclotted and promptly clotted off 1/2 hour later so Permacath Rt chest.
3/2008 move to NC to be close to children.
2 Step fistula, 05/08-elevated 06/08, using mid August.
Aug 5, 08, trained NxStage and Home on 9/3/2008.
Fistulagram 09/2008. In hospital 10/30/08, Bowel Obstruction.
Back to RAI-Latrobe In Center. No home hemo at this time.

thanks jessup...well I slept one whole hour last night..running on caffine today...I just cut Saul's hair and we are going shopping and to lunch and I would love to get to sleep by 7 tonight...is that too much to ask????  Throat is better....I hope everyone's day is blessed today.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017

Thanks all...yes I've tried night pills, day pills, inbetween pills, leave me alone pills, and anything I can find...no sleep for 3 days, then sleep last night, now trying to go to sleep again....I have  to get better fast so we can do another trip to the mountains to get s ettas post cards and more pictures to complete Erin's box and sendl   miBarra...did you get the pictures I emailed you?
