(I posted this in error on the what's for supper post.  this one seems to be the more appropriate home)

Buckeyes

1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
½ cup margarine or butter
½ cup peanut butter
Milk chocolate melting wafers

Mix powdered sugar and cracker crumbs.
Heat margarine and peanut butter over low heat until melted; stir into crumb mixture.  Shape into 10-inch balls.  Refrigerate for about 15 minutes or longer.

Melt chocolate wafers.  Using a toothpick, dip balls into chocolate, covering about ¾ of the ball.  Refrigerate until firm.  Then hide very quickly, because they will disappear before your eys.

YUM!  I dug some good Kentucky bourbon (Fighting Cock, what a name!, it was a gift) out of the cabinet and made these bourbon balls.  I improvised a teeny bit.  I had some molasses gingerbread cookies that didn't turn out quite right, so I crisped them up and use them instead of the vanilla wafers (checked on line to learn that a box of vanilla wafers is 12 oz.).  I also used cane syrup instead of karo syrup (my husband picked it up at a farm market).  I used pecans for the nuts.  At first they seemed kind of dry and grainy, so I added more bourbon  >:D.  Made little balls, rolled them in the sugar and today they are FABULOUS!

I haven't quite gotten to the chocolate dipped Ritz or the Buckeyes yet, but I am planning on trying them soon.

Neuropathy in legs age 10

Eye impairments and blindness in one eye began in 95, major one during visit to the Indy 500 race of that year
   -glaucoma and surgery for that
     -cataract surgery twice on same eye (2000 - 2002). another one growing in good eye
     - vitrectomy in good eye post tx November 2003, totally blind for 4 months due to complications with meds and infection

Knee Surgery 2010
2011/2012 in process of getting a guide dog
Guide Dog Training begins July 2, 2012 in NY
Guide Dog by end of July 2012
Next eye surgery late 2012 or 2013 if I feel like it
Home with Guide dog - July 27, 2012
Knee Surgery #2 - Oct 15, 2012
Eye Surgery - Nov 2012
Lifes Adventures -  Priceless

Lost vision due to retinopathy 12/2005, 30 Laser Surg 2006
ESRD diagnosed 12/2006
03/2007 Fantastic Eye Surgeon in ND got my sight back and implanted lenses in both eyes, great distance & low reading.
Gortex 4/07.  Started dialysis in ND 5/4/2007
Gortex clotted off Thanksgiving Week of 2007, was unclotted and promptly clotted off 1/2 hour later so Permacath Rt chest.
3/2008 move to NC to be close to children.
2 Step fistula, 05/08-elevated 06/08, using mid August.
Aug 5, 08, trained NxStage and Home on 9/3/2008.
Fistulagram 09/2008. In hospital 10/30/08, Bowel Obstruction.
Back to RAI-Latrobe In Center. No home hemo at this time.

if you make the bacon and eggs will you take a photo of them
and post it
usually I make them but this year is a little different ---- they are just so gosh darn cute and people love them
I won a contest once for the cutiest dessert with them
I do not know it they are cookies or candy but they are cute
