Hi there, my name is Lee and I am pre-dialysis with PKD . PKD being hereditary I have grown up seeing dialysis first hand. I just wondered who was out there pre-dialysis and what there thoughts were ,  etc etc .

Anyway if anyone would like to get in touch that would be cool.

Ps I am very positive about this but if your positive or not it would be good to chat.

Hey Lee.  Welcome to IHD.  I am pre-dialysis. I try to keep positive but having my moments right now because I am starting training for dialysis soon and I have a houseful of people coming for Christmas - that's in another post.  Anyhow, I also have had to deal with kidney failure in a number of my family members.  This site has been absolutely terrific for me.  Great place to get all the information you could ever want.  There are a large number of pre-dialysis patients on this site and generally they are a pretty positive bunch. Like me I think there has been an acceptance period where it wasn't easy but you realise after being here for a while that Everyone knows exactly what you are talking about when you need to rant.  I think you will find this site a terrific place to be.  xx

Hi there,
I am pre-dialysis. It isn't easy, but it can be done and I figure someday my kidneys will completely fail. At least that's what I've been told for 7 yrs now.
Welcome. Make sure you check out previous topics to get good info about kidney disease.
