What are you thankful for this year.

I am thankful for all the members who have received their gift of life this year.

I am thankful that I have went another year without needing dialysis.

I am thankful for the loved ones in my life.

I am thankful for ihatedialysis.com, and the help it provides to the members who need it.

Although we have lost a few friends this year , I am still thankful to be able to call them my friend.

Going through life tied to a chair!

I am thankful that I started Nocturnal this year and am feeling better.  I have to dialyze Thanksgiving evening but that means I'm having a big piece of pumpkin pie.  (after whatever I want for Thanksgiving dinner)

I am thankful for my family.
I am thankful I have not had to go on dialysis yet.
I am thankful that when I went to the Dr. today my GFR had gone up to 22 from 17.
I am thankful I have a roof over my head, clothes to cover my body, and food to nourish my body.
I am thankful I am an American and free to make my own choices about where and how I live and who and where I worship.
I am thankful  that I found IHD and learned more about ESRD than I ever thought possible
And I am thankful to the Lord I am still alive and kicking.
Thanks folks of IHD it has been a good ride.

Marvin and I are thankful...

...that someone was smart enough to invent a dialysis machine so Marvin could live the past 14 years
...that we can now do home hemo
...that the sun is on its way up this morning
...that we're not hungry, or cold, or naked (unless we want to be  on this last one  >:D )
...that we have each other
...that we have friends who know us and love us anyway
...that Hop-Sing is our dog baby
...that Life -- despite some bumps in the road -- is still good, still fun, and still worth living

I am thankful to be alive and thankful that I feel content most of the time.  Neither of these two things would be possible without all the people who help me directly and indirectly, doctors, nurses, techs, family and friends, including ALL of you here at IHD.  I thank you and am thankful for you.  Thanksgiving seems as good a time as any to remember this out loud.  If I weren't on dialysis I'd be spending this Thanksgiving in Clearwater with family but we'll probably connect by iChat and be thankful for that.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Even though we don't celebrate thanksgiving in Australia, I am thankful every morning when I wake up that I actually woke to a new day.  I am thankful to all my friends on IHD and all my family and friends in Oz.  I am thankful for the terrific medical team who look after me and I am thankful that my husband hasn't left me for wife number six.  :) I am thankful that I was still able to fend off dialysis for another year and was able to take my trip to Italy.  But most of all I am thankful that for some time now Kit has had no reason to beat me up with her stick!!  Happy thanksgiving to all my American mates. xx

I'm thankful for...

1.  My husband.
2.  My sister-in-law, Irene. (donor)
3.  My house (as wrecked as it is)
4.  Our business
5.  That I don't have to work outside the house (for now)
6.  Our clients
7.  My family (all of them)
8.  The memories of my Mother and Father
9.  All the food in my pantry/fridge
10.  Money in the bank
11.  IHD Family
12.  My two children dogs, Frost and Pup
13.  Two running vehicles with working A/C (paid for)
14.  My health insurance

The list goes on.  I regularly complain and gripe about my life, but when I sit and think about it I have it so much better than many.  It stinks that everytime we turn around we are getting a bill from someone that has to be paid.  What I don't think about is that I'm able to send the total in full every time and not pay it out $5-10 at a time.  I am truly gratefull.

Watch out 2009!   The Talberts are making a freaking come-back!  We have had our AZZes handed to us on a plate for the last three years!   NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!    :boxing; :boxing;   :cheer:   :cheer:

Good job and even 'gooder' co-workers
Friends that truly care
