front page chatroom notifier list??

Epoman, I just got an idea! Since I am an admin on other sites I see things they have which are really good ideas! But I don't know how easy it is to implement. With your chatroom people only know if anyone is in if they actually go to the chatroom and see. What if on the homepage or on the forums where the buttons are there was some sort of thing that said if anyone was in the chatroom.

Like on the first page be a thing that says *this many* people are in the chatroom like this example: 2 are in the chatroom


I have seen that type of ability on other sites and thought it might bring up the popularity of the chatroom on IHD.

Yes, I have been looking into adding such a thing, however most of those use a CMS (content management system) and it is very easy to add. But since I do not like the use of a CMS, I prefer to build the site myself. That idea will be implimented one day. I already am contacting some people.

It would be good to know if it were occupied, but then it might take some of the challenge out of it...Meeting someone in there is a challenge, but worth it!
