my throat gets slit next Thursday by the Rifleman
I will be there for 5 - 7 days. I go to dialysis Wed and right after that I go to the hospital.
They are keeping me the night before surgery...I thought that was rather odd.
my surgeon looks like the Rifleman and he is extremely nice and considered the best
I am afraid, no one can find a freakin' vein for the IV and they love to dig and that hurts.
My husband is going to have a cow, I am placing Slugger in boarding care. She is old and everytime I am gone, she disappears for awhile.
She is a black cat with no tail and she doesn't weight 10 lbs..... that's where my rebate is going.....
I will miss you guys, it seems like I spend every waking hour at "D" or at "IHD".
and I'll be asleep and some stupid nurse will take my BP on the wrong arm......it happened once...

twirl, I'm so sorry. Why are they keeping you in the hospital for 5-7 days? That seems like a long time for your surgery. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. It won't be the same around here without you.  :cuddle; Keep us posted.

Oh Twirl.  I'll be think think thinking of you next Thursday and will miss you here while you're in hospital.  It's always reassuring to know that your surgeon has a good reputation.  May as well be sliced by the best and forget the rest.  Can you wrap your arm in that yellow caution police tape to keep the nurses away?

I'll be metaphorically sitting with you all day next Thursday.  :cuddle;

twirl, Washington Hospital Center had some red gauze that I wrap around Len's arm. The nurses in the OR thought it was a great idea. Ask if they have any.

My thoughts are with you! I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.
