Man Racing Against Time Receives Kidney TransplantLast Update: 10:01 am

Cincinnati police raced against the clock Thursday night as they looked for 65-year-old Artis Mulder, of Pleasant Ridge.
"We had 20-minutes to find him," said Sergeant Robert McDonough.
Mulder's 89-year-old mother, Idella Fears, got the call that a donor kidney was ready but the 65-year-old Mulder wasn't home.
It was believed that Mulder was walking in Eden Park and so after a call to police, the search was on.
"District 4, District 2, District 1, Vortex unit, several units all responded up to try to locate him," said Sgt. McDonough.
With five minutes to spare Mulder returned home and called-in.
"I've been on almost 10-years and I've never had a run like that," said McDonough.
"I was hoping they would find him because what's the chance he's going to get another chance, if he doesn't make that one?" asked McDonough.
Physicians at University Hospital performed the transplant but it is hospital policy not to comment on transplant cases.
