Hi All!  My name is Carroll and I reside in Utah.  I am originally from southwest Iowa.  Good old corn fed farmer's daughter.  I have been dializing since October of 1979.  My mom and I did home hemo through out jr. high and high school.  I went in center when I graduated high scool in 1985.  Have been in center ever since.  I went to college and have been teaching elementary scool for 14 and a half years.  I currently teach fourth grade.  Its been some wild ride!

WOW! You said your mom and I, so were both you and your mom on dialysis? Have you ever had a transplant? My son is entering the 3rd grade  this year. We live in california. Welcome to the board. Please visit often as we need people to help get this place going. And with your help we can make this place great.

No, I'm sorry I was the one on dialysis.  My mom was the person who ran the treatment.  Yes I have had 3 transplants.  However I wasn't able to make it of the hospital with any of them working.  Boy 3rd grade.  That's a big year. Times tables, division, and cursive righting!  They grow up so fast!

3 and none made it, sorry to hear that. That is one of the biggest reasons I never had tried for a transplant.

Yeah they do grow up fast, the last 8 years have flew by.
