Dont let dialysis stop you...

« on: January 13, 2008, 07:53:56 PM »

Barely even a scar!!! It looks like a 1-1/2 inch line drawn on your lower neck if someone drew a line.. I feel so lucky!! my calcium is 97 and my PTH is down form 500-700  to 142 at the moment and taking tums to keep the calcium up has helped bring my phosphorus from 10 last month to 4.6... So this surgery was the best thing that could have happened to me!! Thanks for all your posts too me they really help make me feel like im not dealing with this alone...

Yep, it was not too bad was it?  A little sore throat and a little healing time and wham you feel better.  Did you get your taste back? Three to four days after my surgery I could really taste things again. Probably why I put twenty pounds back on. Sigh*

That's encouraging to hear, neo, since I think I'm next.  Mine's running 1300 and nothing seems to be making it budge!  Glad it went well for you.
