Ran upstairs clamped it off and rang the unit. Anyway home now after 5 hours hanging around ,nice new fitting and a whole heap of antibiotics pumped into me (just in case!) That's a good news/bad news situation when it happened. Good news you
weren't incontinent, but 5 hours to fix the problem.

Life's a bitch and then you go on dialysis!

Kickstart. It always worries me what if the tube should puncture in any way. I keep saying I'll get a PD belt and I really should do because the catheter tube travels across and under the waistband of my trousers so it must be getting some wear and tear.

Did yours puncture within the the Tenkoff itself or was it in the extention? If the tenkoff punctures do they cut it at that point and then re-attache the extention? If so do you end up with a shorter tube overall?

Hi Ken , i will try and explain what happened ! It was my extension that leaked , not the end that joins to your one coming out of your side but the other end where you connect up to do dialysis. Where you have the plastic end fitting and the tube itself goes in , it was that bit that started to leak. So what they did was undo the titanium screw bit of the extension and put a new extension on. Then i had to do a dialysis to which they added a 'whole bottle' full of antibiotics to prevent peritonitus or any infection. I would imagine if you had problems with the bit coming out your side up to the titanium connector then you would have to have a whole new catheter. Just to fit my new extension was bad enough , lots of sterile prep and care !  If any of you have this problem and get a leak PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING !!!
1) Clamp off your tube to stop the leak
2) Wrap your tube in a sterile wipe and dressing (where it is leaking )
3) Go to the hospital and get it sorted asap , the quicker you can get there , the less chance of infection
YOU must go within 24 hrs at the very latest (although i expect you would go straight away!!)
Make sure that they have all you need to do an exchange while there , because you need the antibiotics putting in your dialysis fluid as soon as your leak it sorted , you CANNOT take a tablet form or injection , it has to go into your dialysis fluid. So if the hospital doesnt have your dialysis equipment .. Take it with you !! Enough for one exchange !!!
Hope this helps if it happens to you !!!
