Well how long before you take your bandages or gauze/tape off? Me I personally remove the gauze in under an hour. I hate the tape and gauze it causes me pain. I don't even put them on tight, but it still irritates me.

I get really irritated by tape and bandaids, so usually I rip it off after a few hours. If its not irritating me (which isnt often) I usually forget about it til I have a shower.

I have my site on my upper arm and if you all have seen my pic,  me gots some pretty big guns, lol,  so the bandages never stay on these "muscles" very long.  so i just rip off the bandaids pretty much as soon as i get home from the clinic, which is about an hour from when they put them on....

I use "Sure-seals", and I leave them on until the next morning, unless im giong out that night and wearing a t-shirt, then i'll take them off when i get home (and I usually have to hold my arm straight up for a little bit to stop the bleeding)

I generally eat lunch and take a nap when I get home, and take them off when I wake, probably 3 hours total.

I use sure seals too. I rip the tape and gauze off usually in the car on the way home or at home the minute I get in the house.  The tape is usually coming off of the arm and the hair on my arm is getting pulled like crazy.  I leave the sure seals overnight.

I'm on my permacath right now, but when my fistula is working I leave it on overnight and pull them off while I'm still in bed so I can lay there and put pressure on them (they always bleed) while I'm comfortable and warm.

Jenna left her bandages on from 8pm when dialysis ended until about 11pm. She took them off before she went to bed.

Just a few hours after treatment then, I take them off. I bought a box of x-large sureseals off the internet so if I bleed a little after removing the first set I just replace it with a new one. Boxman

I rip the gauze off as soon as I clot, but leave the band-aids on over night. I use paper tape.

 :snowman;

I take mine off when my site starts itching like crazy, usually 2-5 hours after my session.  Is this normal or do I have eczema or something?
