Yesterday was my 5th hepatitis booster. So now I have had three series of three and 5 boosters. Just doesn't seem to stick with me very long. Anybody else?

Jenna has had 2 Hepatitis A vaccinations. And she also got the 3 Hepatitis B series - then was tested to be sure it worked. Here's info about when the vaccines http://www.immunize.org/catg.d/2081ab.htm

She also had the Pneumococcal vaccine. Pneumococcal disease leads to a wide range of important human pathologies, from common upper respiratory tract infections to severe invasive manifestations such as pneumonia, meningitis and septicemia, and is a major public health problem all over the world. The Pneumovax II is only appropriate for adults and usually should only be administered once, as subsequent re-injection risks severe local reactions. The exception is where immunity may be lost at a faster rate than normal (e.g. patents with asplenia or nephrotic syndrome) when repeated re-vaccination every 5-10 years is recommended.

Jenna will get the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination after the 6th month following her transplant. The vaccine is given in a series of three injections over a six-month period. The second and third doses should be given at two and six months (respectively) after the first dose. HPV vaccine may be given at the same time as other vaccines.  The length of vaccine protection (immunity) is usually not known when a vaccine is first introduced. So far, studies have found that vaccinated persons are protected for five years. More research is being done to find out how long protection will last, and if a booster dose of vaccine will be needed.
