Megestrol Acetate To Help Appetite

After losing a lot of weight and loss of appetite, my husband's Neph prescribed him Megestrol Acetate. It comes in a liquid with it's own little measuring cup. By the look on his face it doesn't taste good but it works. You have to have a tiny bit of it everyday for it to kick in. Doesn't seem to cause him any undesirable side effects. He swallows a little bit of it and a while later he is hungry. This is good because his Neph said he was malnourished from not eating. He may not eat a horse but at least he's eating. All I have to do is remind him to take it. Good luck to any of you with the same problem.
