My labs came back. Usually my phosphorus runs a tad bit high around 6.6 i recently checked it and its 3.2 which is a huge leap lol. No complains there. But my albumin dropped to 3.5 should I be worried? I have been feeling more nauseous lately.

Phosphorus and albumin go hand in hand.  If your albumin is somewhat low and your phosp. is low you probably need to eat more protein and take binders.  Just my opinion.

Huh?   Binders are taken to lower phosphorous, not raise it.

There is a liquid protein supplement - ask your renal dietitian about it.

There is also some cookies, made by Lenny's and sold at Walmart here, that are high protein. Our nutritinist told us about them. They taste good too.

Regularly needing additional protein I have started buying a large jug of protein powder.  I had to look at the labels closely, many brands fail to list much nutritional information so it is important to look at the ingredients.  I did notice that most all of the 'flavored' powders had far more phos and/or potassium so I only get the original vanilla.

I add a couple of heaping teaspoons to my one cup of coffee every morning.  It works sort of like a creamer.

I've thought about trying it in other liquids in the kitchen but I don't think vanilla would go quite so well with chicken noodle soup.

When I was growing up I used to drink a lot of milk, one day my father told my mother to buy powdered milk and mix it 50 50 with milk.  I came home from school grabbed a milk container and poured a large glas of milk.  Mother of God it was vile.  It turned out my father should have said mix the powder with water then 59 59 with milk.
