Hi there everyone, long time no see.

Sorry that I haven't been around but I thought my S.S.I. was ending very soon so I went into full on job hunt mode and ignored everything that wasn't related to job applications or networking.

Luckily my S.S.I. didn't end! It turns out that it doesn't actually end one year after your transplant it just comes up for review. After my evaluation, they cleared me to stay on S.S.I. even though they know it's been one year since my transplant (I was VERY insistent about them knowing that). So I can relax just a little while I continue my job hunt.

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of my transplant and I'm not sure what I want to do, but I know I want to do something special.

That's about it really.

Great to hear from you! Great luck on that SSI! You certainly dodged that bullet!

I went out and had a nice non-dialysis safe meal which was a steak sub, fries, and a milkshake. Then I bought a six-pack of beer and sat around writing and reflecting on my life all day. All and all it's a nice to be able to combine New Year's Eve and this anniversary, it really makes me stop and think.
