The only dressing that is tested with a randomized control trial on dialysis patients. Allows you to safely shower with a hemodialysis catheter and even swim. Decreases the risk of infection by greater than 75%. There is nothing like it in the medical industry.

I agree with you okarol, it is a little strange that this new member pdabel01 just advertises a product
which I would not even dare to try out, just in case it would compromise my very life-line...
... I feel much more safe to carefully shower "around my life-line"... and use a damp flannel near my life-line...
... all that only takes a few more minutes, but that kind of showering makes me feel much more safe ...
Best wishes from Kristina. :grouphug;

I used the Korshield (www.korshield.com) when I was on a cath.   Not suitable for swimming, but great for showers.  I managed to take showers right before dialysis and keep the bandage dry enough to never get a comment from the tech.   It does require some care, however, it made dealing with a cath much easier.

Also, the Cathdry costs $80/month - a non trivial expense for many dialysis patients.

Yeah....at THAT price, you'd think they could just BUY a friggin' ad here, instead of spamming us!

Thanks for the heads up.
