Trusting my neph

I m sorry but I'm starting lose patience with my neph , The more I lean about pd  the more I realizes , she ' procipate other problems.

I've been with neph for about 6yrs , I think the problem is she has no real experience, and she comes from a clinical point of view, sometimes I will express fatigue or I'm depressed  She like a dear starring at head. Lights .

She doesn't really disclose everything and I learn the hard way .

She tells me to take these binder be cause my phosphorus was to high , I say ok taking 3 pills each time I eat  as a few months go by I start complaining I was tired and constipation  , her reply was are you taking your stool softener and your drinking to much water.

But if you read the side effect on binder they increase thirst and constipation, you get tired if you drink to muck water

I don't believed when people start on pd that they need to start at 2000 per fill.

I still make urine right now I just got out of surgery  for a hernia she wanted me to go on hemo until my surgery heal , so I made a stink and told her no and I told her to change my prescriptions to a low fill so I do 1000 at a time . I lay down

They don't know what it like to be connect to a tube or the machine alarm going off at night .frag sleeping patterns

I just got on the right program which I'm happy with I had her change my fill patterns to 5 exchanges in 8 hrs At 1500 a fill , but I  did the research . now when I lay down my stomach doesn't feel like a pressure cooker because dwell time is to long and I pull 1200


I'm starting to get stress out. I'm walking  around and having a conversation with myself getting piss off at my neph

I'm glad you are looking out for yourself.  Some people are just sheep and do what they are told and can't reason out the BS.

Do you have a choice of a different Nephrologist.

The only other thing I suggest is come on here and ask the question and get other's perspective.

I am very sorry how you feel about your nephrologist right now
and it is a very good idea to look out for yourself.
We still can do a lot to assist ourselves and it is all a learning process.

I am sorry to hear about your troubles Seaweed. Glad you felt better after venting a little. If you feel your Neph isn't experienced enough, are you able to find another more experienced Neph? I am a great believer in changing doctors when they start to give us too much grief - sometimes we do end up getting a much better one (although there are no guarantees).
