Angie Done is 66, but part of her is 100. When she was a young woman, her kidneys failed. She received a new kidney from a 58-year-old donor. The donor died 18 years later. The donor was her father.

I love this article too, just seen it this morning. Am gonna mail it to my dad. He donated to me 3yrs ago in may, that kidney turns 70 in September, I am 33. I hope this is what our story will be like (would like dad to live to 100 tho, I know he'd love to see my daughter get married, she's almost 4 lol). I worried about his age but the docs told me kidneys can function into their 100s and his functioned like a 40yr old. Its good news story shows that older donors can be just as good and last a long time!

Thanks again, okarol, for posting these stories! I just wish they had a way to turn exceptional cases like these into typical cases.
