So far my experience with dialysis has been good 13th treatment completed. I'm up to 15 gauge needles (never thought I'd do it) and next day usually have more energy- appetite good - labs good (dietician even said I can add peanuts back in to get protein up and have some OJ or a banana! Couldn't believe my ears! I only gain 2lbs of fluid between treatments and maintain a conservative fluid intake. Maybe giving my kidney a break with the dialysis is making it work better or it's the prayers or both. When I feel sad - I look outside and see God's creations and smile and appreciate it more - it could be worse. Getting used to my routine and few restrictions. Now don't get me wrong - dialysis itself is the pits. I see others who have a hard time with it and my heart aches for them. Life does go on and what you do with it is up to you - when its your time then its your time. I know there will be bad days to come and I'll deal with it when they do - but not today.
