I got a type 4 (almist 5) in january 2013 after almost dying from a gall bladder failure.  I've actaully got some funstion back (but still iunder 20%) and was just told I';ll be evaluated for a transplant.  I alas also have diabetic retinopathy so have pretty much a useless right eye.  I get procit whn my hemoglobins are low, but can hold off on this ost months.  I'm glad to have a place wheder I can find peope who ujnerstand our rather uniique situatuon!

I am a caregiver to my wonderful husband,  He is 4p and started PD October 2013. We have several living donors waiting to be tested for a transplant. Dialysis is a bridge to get us where we need to go.
He had a transplant in November 2019.
