I've been at my center a while now...!  Recently our FA just up and disappeared.  We found out that there were issues at another center; and she was asked to go help out for awhile....come to find out...they transferred her to that center!

Another FA from a different center; came by to help out.  We had been questioning the nurses and techs where the regular FA was or what was going on....I mean; she had been gone for a few weeks now...with no answers.  We are like a family; and we wanted to know.  Next thing I know; they are passing around a letter written by the FA telling us that she had been 'promoted' to a different center; bigger than ours and she would be coming by to say goodbye to us.....and then she signed the letter!

well...I know for a FACT....that the FA did NOT write the letter, and she did not sign it; I know the FA; and just from the wording in the letter; I knew it wasn't from her; nor was the signature hers; unless they copied it from something else and pasted it onto it!

Point is....I don't like being lied too!  Why didn't they just tell us; she was transferred....!   End of story....she moved on to bigger and better things!!!!  Since then, I've talked with her; was told she didn't write that letter; and she was not 'promoted'!!!!  Just transfered to another center!

LIE LIE LIE!!!!   Why do the people you trust w/ your life....day after day; lie to your face??????  Makes me wonder what else they are lying about!!!!

I use to work as auditor. We had an old saying that went something like "once we found a "lie" in a file, we could consider the whole file to be a "lie". When people lie to us, they lose all credibility.

He went back to doing in-center July 2016.
After more than 150 days of being hospitalized with complications from Diabetes, my beloved husband's heart stopped and he passed away 06-08-21. He was only 63.

That's really sad that they would feel the need to lie about this. It seems unnecessary. It really does affect their credibility. Sorry this happened.

It seems it hasn't occurred to them that besides the loss of credibility, they're possibly looking at jail time if your former FA calls the police to report the forgery.

I agree Sugarlump!  They probably did not want to discuss what was happening at the other center because it may have not been "acceptable" (Just my opinion) and thought that a little lie wouldn't hurt.  But it affects not only the dialysis patients at the center, the staff know the truth too.  And if you work for an employer who has no problem lying, it affects your work.  Either you start to think, well, a little bit of a fib is not a big deal, or you start to wonder what else they lie about.  It affects the entire "ecosystem" of the unit.

I don't know how to respond.

I used to work for an old guy, I ran the Boat repair shop and storage facility.  Bob sold the property and the business to Kevin.  Kevin was an accountant and assistant Pastor of his Church.  I stayed there almost four years, until I called him out on a major lie.  Kevin admitted that he lied, and that he wasn't going to do anything to correct it.

I told him I wouldn't/couldn't work for him another minute.  Loaded all my tools and equipment and left.  Took a couple of days as most everything in the shop is mine.

His shop never reopened.  This was in April '08,  The storage facility is listed for sale again.

I draw the line, liars, cheats, thieves, I won't have anything to do with any of them.  If they will do one, what's to stop them from doing the rest?  Nothing, they are worthless to me.

If I found something like this happening at my D center, I would be looking to see if there is anywhere else II could go.  There would be no TRUST, my blood pressure would jump everytime I even thought about going in there again.

It would bother me to no end.  But that''s just me.

I think that it is really sad that they treated all the patients that way...!  I understand that they were trying to put everyone's mind at ease at let everyone know that the FA had moved on...but there was no reason to lie about it!  We are all big boys and girls; and we can take the news; it isn't the worst news we've ever gotten in our lives; so just be straight with us!!!!

Thanks for all the responses!!!
