Oh yeah, I forgot.  I was not aware of possible shoulder issues after surgery but apparently there are some.  I had adhesive capsulitis, otherwise known as frozen shoulder.  It hurt for about 6 months before I asked a doctor for an MRI.  I went through physical therapy but still had to have shoulder surgery to breakup the scar tissue and remove some arthritis on the collar bone.  It was so much harder than the fistula surgery.  I strongly encourage being as active as possible without over doing it after any surgery to prevent this problem.  Totally not fun.

Looks pretty good now it was done on 10/15/14. I am suppose to have a fistulagram Nov 3rd to make sure it is working ok.  Feel my thrill ever hour - strange sensation. :pics;

I will try and post a picture.  It is Frankenstein looking, but I am sure it will look better with some time and healing.

I don't want to scare anyone but it helped me to see what I was facing to make an informed decision.

Good photos, I've experienced that bruising both times I've had angiograms to widen one of the veins up from my fistula.  Its not something they warned me about so it worried me when I saw it, but it goes away after a week or so.

Update on my fistulagram on Nov 3rd.  Personally I think the fistula was easier then the fistulagram.  Big bruise, real swollen and hurts.  Vas surgeon put in 2 "springs" like stents to make my little veins bigger.  But dang it hurts.  I'm sure it will be a bad memory in a couple weeks.  Oh and the latest test showed GFR is 17.  Kidney doc said he would refer me for transplant probably at the Nashville VA MED center.  Wait and see.
