Have to plan for living

« on: June 26, 2013, 02:02:05 PM »

Hi all,

Nice to be back after quite sometimes disappeared.

This year would be the 8th years of dialysis.

Presently my creatinine is alway > 900.  Doctor has requested to increase the dialysate flowrate from 500ml/min to 800ml/min, expecting the creatinine may drop lower. ( no blood test done yet)

It has been 2 weeks, but last few days l'm feeling nausea, can the increasing the dialsate flowrate could effect this?  Can someone share this?

Today l'm going to visit my doctor for further discussion.

I would think there would be better options like "more time" added.  I know you would probably hate this but you would feel better.  Do they have a nocturnal shift at your unit.  That is 8 hours but you sleep and your days are free and you feel better.

Keep us posted.    :waving;

Hi all,
I'm back again.

Dialysate flowrate increase from 500 to 800 ml/min.
Duration of change 4 weeks

Last wednesday met my doctor, the records shows positive improvements
1. Phosphate reduce
2. Creatinine reduce from 1100 to 980... First time acheivement.

My personal conclusion, the higher dialysate flowrate the more extraction of minerals and nuitrance from the blood. Thats may be the causes of my nausea last few days back.

Please comment my opinion.

Regards.
