That was great!   Great attitude girl!  Was fun to see 'our' machine on there too  ;D    All the best to her and hoping for a kidney for her very soon!  Thanks for sharing !   :flower;

Thanks for the kind words.   Strangely although I see her do treatment everyday I broke down while watching her segment and even thinking about it still makes the eyes water a bit.

Really nice interview, Ashley!  I hope your new career is everything you want it to be.  I also hope you're able to move up the waiting list quickly and get your new kidney soon.  Thanks for sharing the link Steve.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone who saw this story would be willing to donate to her?

I wonder what disease she has.

It was nice to see her using NxStage.  I wish they had talked more about how much better home hemo can be than incenter treatment and how this modality enables her to hold down a job.

She has FSGS...and yea were praying that someone sees it and is willing to donate.

I LOVE stories like this!  There's the moment where she acknowledges that yes it sucks, but instead of that being the end of the story she showed how she's still able to deal with it and have a good life.  I hope Ashley gets her kidney asap!

June 2004 diagnosed with PKD
April 2012 Listed for transplant
November 2012 3rd and finally successful fistula placement, left basilic vein. Yay, it worked!
GFR down to 10.
Deceased donor transplant August 24, 2013.  Perfect match. So far so good!
