Hi, my name is Derrick Kess I am 44 years old, have been on dialysis for twelve years. Live everyday to the fulliest. I am a published poet. Go to poetry.com and where it say's to enter poet's name enter Derrick Kess. I won a award for my poem LIVE LIFE BIG and I hope it can put a smile on your face or make you feel better. I ride my mountain bike everyday, I ride around twenty miles a day. I believe exercise is big part of living with dialysis. And it doesn,t mean riding a bike, but taking a walk or visiting a neighbor. I am designing a t-shirt with the  LIVE LIFE BIG logo. HAVE A GREAT DAY

Live Life Big
I want to live everyday to the fullest
as I watch the nurse hook me up
to the dialysis machine
life seems fleeting
but yet I endure under the beating of my disease
life is beautiful and not to be missed
to short to fast I know I'm not going to last
time not to waste life meant to live
I want life to be full and happy and gay
I want to enjoy
because you never know
when it's going to be your day.

Derrick, your poem is so full of positive emotion, how could anyone not enjoy it!  Keep up the good vibes and it will serve you well ,especially in your time of need, as we all endure at one time or another~  Thanks for sharing and congrats.  :2thumbsup;
