Hey Y'all!
Been a while since I've been in the food area. I was on here a lot when the boyfriend first got diagnosed and had big plans to publish a cookbook. Those plans got sidetracked when we moved twice (once out of state) and my laptop blew up, taking over a year's worth of research and recipes with it. Yes, I did back up my data but it got lost in the last move. I am still very angry and discouraged by that. SO DISAPPOINTED!
Anyway, to my weird question. If I have a recipe where most of the ingredients are kidney kool (chicken, veggies, rice etc) but a couple aren't (shrimp and smoked sausage), do the unkool items make the rest bad? If the boyfriend picked out the sausage and ate only a few shrimp, would the sodium and phosphorus content of the rest be compromised? I just happen to have the ingredients for jambalaya on hand and thought it would be tasty.
